If you should ever return with promises of long walks and holding hands,
with the thought that your heart would cease beating without my lips kissing yours.
Then I surrender this soul to the journey of our forever.
If for one moment you remembered the rain and the tears shared in this tragedy of long ago,
and woke up with dreams of me chasing you along the secret spaces of heaven we shared.
Then I’d cease to believe in broken promises, in rain-soaked tears cried for you
and the darkness you shaped around us, and in everything sad.
Like the moon during my desolate walks without us.
If for one minute, your heart would beat for me again, then this lifetime would be
that minute of forever.
